Re: What's your fav Manga? « Result #3 on Jun 9, 2005, 2:29pm »
Oh, that's a little sad... the story I mean. ^^; I've never read anything like that (or maybe I have but don't remember) but it doesn't sound like something I'd want to read unless I know there's a good ending.... ^^; But that's just me...
My favorite kind of manga are just the comical ones. Once I read Le Bishoux (I think that's how it's spelled) and it sort of disturbed me in more than one way... So since then, I'm just into the humor genres of manga.....

Serial Experiments Lain « Result #6 on Aug 21, 2003, 6:52pm »
I thought the concept was pretty original, but the story moved so slowly.
Not that complicated, really, just made to look so. Compared with Boogiepop on occasion (or vice versa) mostly because both look similar and try to play tricks with your head.
This series could be easily spoofed because of its rather emotionally flat, po-faced seriousness. Probably has, somewhere.
Generally good show, probably held up more highly than it otherwise would have been because of the vagaries of anime fashion in the late 90's. Not a terrible series, just the end left more to be desired. but overall i like Lain and give it a 8/10..
